Making trees from silhouettes!
- Create solid silhouette of your trunk and overall canopy of leaves
- Using a solid texture brush, cut away into the underside of the leaves
- Add some individual leaves to break up the treetop
- Add lighter/darker hues for volume. I used the same process of laying down a solid shape and then cutting into it
- Add more blocks of leaves for depth!
- You can create your own base texture brush for the leaf cutaways- just make sure to check that the pattern is a solid black (no transparency/ lighter value) to get a clean cut! Here are a few made from Kyle Webster brushes (with some adjusted settings):
